Gentle reader, today I decided to do a bunk. It wasn’t a decision I took lightly and I will most definitely walk the 15 miles from Miller’s Dale to Charlesworth at some stage but it was romance, not fear of the enduring fog, which persuaded me to stay at home. Today is our wedding anniversary and yesterday my husband flew in from Sydney. I beg your indulgence and understanding ..

It was a happy wedding and and a happy anniversary!

I will be back in the saddle tomorrow, with a spring in my step .. and hopefully with spring in the air! x

You deserved a glorious day for both occassions! How happy you must have been to see Patrick and how proud he must be of you. You looked marvellous – not like a fully paid up member of the ramblers society at all! But I did wonder out loud to Jonathan this morning how you feet took to high heels….? Happy Anniversary you two – Jules you deserve a break. Some day I must show you my Edwardian photos of Millers Dale and other parts of the Peak District, although with the rain of the last few days you may just run screaming. Good weather forecast for the next week or more anyway. Keep up the good work!

Happy Anniversary Jules and Patrick. What a change from the red hood to the gorgeous black hat!! I’ve been in the States and New Zealand, telling various family members about your incredible walk!
